EARLY LIFE AND CAREER

Having lived across two millennials, you can be sure he has heard it all, stemming back to his toddler days in the late 90’s. Drawing his interest from our own folklore in the early days of E-Sir, Dj Kunthra’s first mix was mastered on his brother’s laptop. All this while enjoying an episode of The Big Bang Theory. Fans of this show will understand the curious choice of Brian Langat’s stage name, Kunthra, a name shared with Kunal Nayyar on the show. His ability to entertain in his field made him believe he could also be a thriller in his new found joy on his brother’s device, ‘Virtual Dj’. It peaked his interest and ever since his golden hands have found their way to the decks. His wide range of mixes are inspired by those in the same field as he is, both within and across the borders. In our own backyard Dj’s Wesley, Krowbar and Adrian have been a yardstick for his productions. On the international scene he idolizes Jazyy Jeff and has David Guetta to thank for the taste of house music engrained in him.
